2026 TURN THE TIDE: BIG SHUCKIN' ST. JOHN TRIP GIVEAWAY TO BENEFIT BLOOD CANCER UNITED
1. Sponsor; Promotion Partner; Administrator
The 2026 Turn the Tide: Big Shuckin' Trip Giveaway (the "Giveaway") is sponsored by Shuckin' Shack Franchising LLC, 406 N. 3rd St. Wilmington, NC 28401 ("Sponsor"). Blood Cancer United, 1201 15th Street N.W., Suite 410, Washington, D.C. 20005, is the promotion partner ("Promotion Partner"). Shuckin' Shack Franchising LLC, will administer the drawing and/or winner verification ("Administrator").
Sponsor, Promotion Partner, Administrator, participating Shuckin' Shack franchisees, prize donors and providers, and each of their respective parents, affiliates, subsidiaries, advertising and promotion agencies, officers, directors, employees, agents, and representatives are collectively the "Giveaway Entities." Sponsor has final authority over administration of the Giveaway, subject to applicable law.
2. Giveaway Entry Period
The Giveaway begins at 12:00:00 a.m. Eastern Time ("ET") on September 1, 2026 and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. ET on September 30, 2026 (the "Entry Period"). Sponsor's designated computer is the official timekeeping device. Donation-based entries must be received during the Entry Period. Donation-based entries must be received during the Entry Period. Free mail-in entries must be postmarked by September 30, 2026 and received by October 3, 2026.
3. Eligibility
The Giveaway is open only to natural persons who, at the time of entry, are legal residents of the United States of America and are at least twenty-five (25) years old. Void outside the listed country and where prohibited or restricted by law.
The following are not eligible: (a) employees, officers, directors, owners, franchisees, and agents of any Giveaway Entity; (b) anyone involved in developing, administering, promoting, supplying, or fulfilling the Giveaway or prize; (c) immediate family members (spouse, parent, child, sibling, and their spouses) of those persons; and (d) persons living in the same household as those persons, whether related or not. Sponsor may require proof of identity, age, residence, and eligibility.
4. How to Enter
There are two methods of entry. Entrants may use either method or a combination of both, but no person or household may receive more than fifteen (15) total entries. Selecting a Shuckin' Shack location is solely for campaign attribution and does not create a separate prize pool or affect odds.
A. Voluntary Donation Entry Method
During the Entry Period, visit the Blood Cancer United-hosted Shuckin' Shack donation page at https://diy.bloodcancerunited.org/campaign/829556/donate, complete the donation form, select the participating Shuckin' Shack location being supported, and provide all required contact information. Eligible donations will receive entries based on the entrant's aggregate completed donations received during the Entry Period:

Donations under $100 do not generate automatic entries but are accepted. Donations are voluntary, are not required to enter, and generally will not be refunded except as required by law or Sponsor policy. Any charitable tax treatment is determined under applicable law and Sponsor's donation receipt; entrants should consult their own tax advisers. Donors may opt out of automatic entries by contacting marketing@theshuckinshack.com.
B. Free Alternate Method of Entry ("AMOE")
To enter without making a donation, hand-print the following on a 3-inch by 5-inch card: full name, complete residential address, city, state, ZIP code, date of birth, email address, telephone number, the words "2026 Big Shuckin' Trip Giveaway," and the Shuckin' Shack location the entrant wishes to support for campaign attribution. Place the card in a standard business-size envelope, affix proper postage, and mail it to: Shuckin' Shack Franchising LLC 406 N. 3rd St. Wilmington, NC 28401.
Each compliant card received in a separately mailed envelope counts as one (1) entry. An eligible person may submit up to fifteen (15) free mail-in entries. Each card and envelope must be hand-addressed and mailed separately. No mechanically reproduced, photocopied, metered-in-bulk, automated, third-party, or incomplete submissions will be accepted. Do not include a donation or other correspondence. Proof of mailing is not proof of receipt.
C. Entry Limit and Reconciliation
Limit fifteen (15) total entries per person and per household, regardless of entry method, number of donations, email addresses, physical addresses, or identities used. If entries exceed the limit, Sponsor may retain the first fifteen eligible entries received and void the remainder. Donation and AMOE records may be matched and deduplicated using name, household address, email, telephone number, and other reasonably reliable identifiers. In a dispute over an online entry, the authorized account holder of the submitted email address will be deemed the entrant, subject to proof of eligibility.
5. Prize and Approximate Retail Value
One (1) Grand Prize will be awarded. The prize is a St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands travel package consisting of the following components:
A six (6)-night stay at Cruz Views #05 - Tranquility, a two-bedroom, one-bathroom end-unit condominium in Cruz Bay, St. John, subject to the property's occupancy limit, house rules, availability, blackout dates, and booking terms. Lodging ARV: $2,513.
One airline voucher with a face value of $1,500, subject to the issuing carrier's terms, routes, availability, fees, and expiration date.
One charter voucher with a face value of $1,000, subject to operator availability, weather, safety requirements, waivers, passenger limits, and expiration date.
One rental-car voucher with a face value of $750, subject to provider availability, driver-age, license, credit-card, insurance, deposit, and other rental requirements.
The fixed-value voucher and gift-card components total $3,700. Total Grand Prize ARV is $2,513 + $3,250. The actual value may vary based on travel dates, rates, availability, winner location and added gift cards. The winner will not receive the difference if the actual value is less than the stated ARV. If a component becomes unavailable for reasons beyond Sponsor's reasonable control, Sponsor may substitute a component of equal or greater value where permitted by law.
Travel and Redemption Conditions
The winner must book by December 31st, 2026 and complete travel between January 1st, 2027 and December 31st, 2027. Blackout dates include January 1st-16th, 2027 and December 20th-31st, 2027. Reservations must be requested at least 30 days before arrival and are subject to confirmation; no date is guaranteed until confirmed in writing by the applicable provider and condo management company.
The condominium is offered for seven days/six nights only. The winner and guests must comply with occupancy, quiet-hour, damage, cleaning, check-in/check-out, accessibility, pool, and other property rules. The property is in a hillside complex and may include stairs or loft access; the winner is responsible for determining suitability for all travelers. St. John has no commercial airport. The airline voucher does not guarantee that it will cover airfare to St. Thomas, ferry or water-taxi service to St. John, baggage, seat fees, taxes, ground transfers, or any other transportation expense.
Except for the listed components, all expenses are the winner's responsibility, including transportation not covered by vouchers, ferries, fuel, parking, meals, gratuities, excursions, travel documents, insurance, deposits, incidental charges, taxes, medical costs, and any amount exceeding a voucher's face value.
The winner and guests are responsible for valid government-issued identification and compliance with all carrier, charter, rental, lodging, health, safety, and governmental requirements. Any traveler who cannot satisfy a provider requirement may be denied the applicable component without replacement.
The winner is responsible for the conduct and safety of all guests. Guests will be required to sign liability/publicity releases before travel. Weather, storms, government action, labor disruption, provider closure, and other events beyond Sponsor's control may affect travel. Sponsor is not responsible for delay, cancellation, injury, loss, or added expense except as required by law.
The prize is awarded to the verified winner only and is nontransferable, nonassignable, not redeemable for cash, and may not be resold. Unused, lost, expired, or forfeited components will not be replaced unless the issuing provider's written terms state otherwise.
6. Random Drawing; Odds
A random drawing from all eligible entries will be conducted at Noon ET on October 5, 2026 at Shuckin' Shack Franchising LLC Corporate Office located at 406 N. 3rd St. Wilmington, NC 28401. The entrant need not be present. The drawing method will be documented, and the selected entry will be subject to verification. Odds depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
7. Winner Notification and Verification
The potential winner will be contacted using the email address and/or telephone number supplied with the entry. The potential winner must respond within three (3) calendar days and, within seven (7) calendar days after documents are sent, complete and return an affidavit/declaration of eligibility, liability and publicity release where lawful, IRS Form W-9, proof of age/residence, and any prize-provider documents reasonably required by Sponsor.
If the potential winner is ineligible, cannot be contacted, fails to respond or return documents on time, declines the prize, or cannot accept the prize as offered, the potential winner will be disqualified and Sponsor may select an alternate by random drawing from the remaining eligible entries. Sponsor may repeat this process until the prize is awarded, except where applicable law requires another procedure.
8. Taxes
All federal, state, local, and other taxes and reporting obligations arising from acceptance or use of the prize are solely the winner's responsibility. The prize's fair market value is taxable income. Sponsor or Administrator will issue the winner and file any IRS or state information return required by law. Sponsor may require tax documentation before releasing the prize. No tax gross-up is included.
9. Entry Integrity; Prohibited Conduct
Entries that are late, lost, illegible, incomplete, misdirected, postage-due, corrupted, fraudulent, generated by automated means, submitted through unauthorized channels, or otherwise noncompliant are void. Sponsor may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, circumvents limits, uses multiple identities, interferes with administration, harasses any person, or violates these Official Rules or applicable law. Any attempt to damage a website or undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may violate civil and criminal law, and Sponsor reserves all available remedies.
10. Technical or Operational Failure
If fraud, technical failure, natural disaster, public-health event, government action, provider failure, human error, or another cause beyond Sponsor's reasonable control impairs the integrity, security, fairness, or proper administration of the Giveaway, Sponsor may suspend, modify, or terminate the affected portion and, where lawful, select the winner from eligible, non-suspect entries received before the impairment. Sponsor will not use this provision to avoid awarding the advertised prize and will comply with any state-law restriction on cancellation.
11. Release and Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, by entering, each entrant agrees to release and hold harmless the Giveaway Entities from claims, liabilities, losses, damages, costs, or injuries arising from or relating to participation, entry processing, acceptance or use/misuse of the prize, travel, or a provider's acts or omissions. This release does not waive rights that cannot lawfully be waived, and it does not apply to liability caused by a released party's gross negligence, willful misconduct, or other conduct for which liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
The Giveaway Entities make no warranty concerning the prize except any express warranty supplied directly by a provider. Sponsor is not responsible for inaccurate information caused by equipment, programming, human, or transmission error; interrupted or unavailable networks or websites; unauthorized intervention; or lost, late, corrupted, or misdirected entries, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
12. Publicity
Except where prohibited by law, acceptance of the prize grants Sponsor and Promotion Partner permission to use the winner's name, city and state, likeness, voice, statements, and prize information for advertising, publicity, and campaign reporting in any media without further compensation or approval. Any broader content production or guest publicity will be governed by a separate written release.
13. Privacy
Information collected will be used to administer the Giveaway, verify entries, contact the winner, comply with law, maintain campaign records, and otherwise as described in Sponsor's (www.theshuckinshack.com/?follow=show) and Promotional Partner (llsorg.widen.net/s/6pgddxcmzw/en-es-privacy-policy) privacy policy. Sponsor may share information with Promotion Partner, Administrator, franchisees only to the extent needed for location attribution, service providers, prize providers, tax authorities, regulators, and other parties described in that policy. Marketing consent must be optional and separated from entry unless counsel approves otherwise. Entrants may exercise applicable privacy rights through Darren Keeler at marketing@theshuckinshack.com.
14. Governing Law; Disputes
These Official Rules are governed by the laws of the states where applicable, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except that each entrant retains any nonwaivable rights provided by the law of the entrant's state of residence. Before filing a claim, the entrant and Sponsor will make a good-faith effort for at least thirty (30) days to resolve it informally through written notice to Shuckin' Shack Franchising LLC 406 N. 3rd St. Wilmington, NC 28401. Any claim not resolved informally must be brought individually, not as a class or representative action, in a court of competent jurisdiction, subject to any nonwaivable venue or consumer-protection right.
15. Winner List
For the verified winner's first name, last initial, city, and state, send a self-addressed, stamped envelope to Shuckin' Shack Franchising LLC 406 N. 3rd St. Wilmington, NC 28401, with "2026 Big Shuckin' Trip Winner List" on the envelope, for receipt between October 15 and December 31, 2026. Sponsor may also publish the winner information at www.theshuckinshack.com and Shuckin' Shack Oyster Bar social media pages including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok, subject to applicable law.
16. General Terms
Sponsor's decisions on administration and eligibility are final and binding, subject to applicable law. If a provision is held unlawful or unenforceable, it will be modified to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions will remain effective. Sponsor's failure to enforce a term is not a waiver. Headings are for convenience only. If advertising conflicts with these Official Rules, these Official Rules control, except that no correction may reduce a consumer right required by law.
