The Meggah Greggah Challenge with Randy Santel
We can’t believe it actually happened. It’s one of those things you see on viral videos and T.V. shows, but when it’s happening in front of you, it’s unbelievable. We, of course, are talking about professional eating challenges. In early September professional eater, Randy Santel, reached out to our Wilmington, NC location to see if we had a challenge for him. At that moment we did not have an eating challenge, but hearing through the grape vine on how popular he is in the social media viral video eating world, we could not pass up the opportunity. As we sat in a meeting trying to figure out what would be worthy of a challenger like Santel, a bolt of lightning (yes, one of those moments) hit CEO Jonathan Weathington and the idea became one for the history books. The “Meggah Greggah” was born. Shuckin’ Shack’s “The Greggah” lobster roll is one of our all-star menu items that our guest can’t get enough of. So why not make it MEGGAH! 4 lbs. of lobster meat, 22 and 1/2 inch French baguette, 1 and half lbs. of fries and a half lb. of our homemade coleslaw with a one hour time limit.
